Long Beach Symphony POPS! and vocalist Carmen Bradford will present a romantic performance on Valentine’s Day featuring songs by Ella Fitzgerald; George and Ira Gershwin; and Nelson Riddle.<\/p>\n
According to a statement from the Long Beach Symphony, Bradford was discovered by Count Basie and has performed with Wynton Marsalis, Tony Bennett and countless other artists.<\/p>\n
Michael Berkowitz, who has worked with Gloria Estefan, Linda Ronstadt and Ringo Starr, will conduct the program.<\/p>\n
The Symphony will roll out a dance floor for those who wish to dance during songs like “Embraceable You,” “My Funny Valentine” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.”<\/p>\n
Patrons are invited to bring their own picnic dinner and drinks, or eat food delivered directly to their seats by various preferred caterers.<\/p>\n
The show, which will take place at Long Beach Arena, located at 300 East Ocean Boulevard, will take place at 8:00PM, with doors opening at 6:30PM.
