This Sunday Roxanne\u2019s Cocktail Lounge & Latin Grill<\/a> will celebrate its four-year history, rich with the passionate endeavor of lifting up the Wardlow Strip<\/a> as a premiere hangout and raising Long Beach\u2019s cocktail culture to new heights.<\/p>\n Since Roxanne\u2019s officially opened it has become a staple and a brand, not only to the immediate community, but to all of Long Beach,\u201d said Roxanne\u2019s owner, Robert Molina. \u201cThe evolution and acceptance of the community has been a rollercoaster as Long Beach went from being the Hollywood before Hollywood, to becoming well known for its Dive bar scene.\u201d<\/p>\n In a 2013 interview with former Post <\/em>Editor Sarah Bennett<\/a>, Molina explained, “We could easily be passive business owners and just serve whoever comes in, but our interest here is much more than that. We\u2019re here to bring the area more into the limelight.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cRoxanne\u2019s has played a major part in uplifting the Wardlow Strip. Neighbors and surrounding businesses have come together to really give the California Heights Neighborhood something to be proud of,\u201d said Molina. \u201cRoxanne\u2019s is turning four years old and we are inviting everyone to our Brunch celebration on Sunday.\u201d<\/p>\n Roxanne\u2019s will also host an 80\u2019s Night starting at 9:00PM. From 10:00AM to 2:00PM, bottomless mimosas will be served in limited edition Roxanne\u2019s Four Year Anniversary champagne glasses, which guests can take home with them after their meal. The Sunday Brunch menu will include several special options including Abuelita French Toast with scrambled eggs, Mexican Chilaquiles and Grilled Brochettes, made on the eatery\u2019s indoor barbecue grill.<\/p>\n![\"roxannesfront\"](\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/roxannesfront.jpg\")
Now that Roxanne\u2019s has established itself as a go-to neighborhood joint for the Wardlow Strip, one that locals frequent for a well-made cocktail, Latin-inspired food and a classy atmosphere to congregate within, Molina can invest more time in elevating Long Beach\u2019s cocktail scene as a whole. This upcoming anniversary celebration is a commemoration of years of hard work put into building the bar\u2019s reputation for providing small-batch, craft spirits and craft beer, but also represents a step toward Molina\u2019s mission to put Long Beach on the map as a city where finding a good cocktail is a rather small feat.<\/p>\n
