Photo courtesy of LBS Financial Credit Union.<\/em><\/p>\n LBS Financial Credit Union employees brightened the holidays for 556 children attending school at Young Horizons, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children with special needs whose families cannot afford private child care. Hundreds of toys, gifts and clothing were donated to these children of Young Horizons on Wednesday, December 10 at The Grand in Long Beach during LBSS Financial annual holiday breakfast.<\/p>\n Every year, LBS Financial hosts an employee holiday breakfast at an offsite location. The employee holiday breakfast committee selected Young Horizons for this year\u2019s employee gift donation hoping to make a positive difference in the lives of these children during the holidays. In previous years, LBS Financial employees donated toys and gifts to the United States Marines\u2019 Toys for Tots Foundation, Miller Children\u2019s Hospital, Comprehensive Child Development, Long Beach Day Nursery, Children Today, Project Shepherd and the Needy Family Project in Cerritos.<\/p>\n Approximately 175 LBS Financial employees attended this year\u2019s breakfast and many brought more than one gift.<\/p>\n \u201cYoung Horizons is an important organization in the Long Beach community,\u201d said Jeffrey Napper in a press statement, president and CEO of LBS Financial Credit Union. \u201cIn the spirit of the holidays, it\u2019s truly heartwarming to see our employees show their generosity and make personal donations to benefit the local community.\u201d<\/p>\n Because of Young Horizons, parents who cannot afford special care for their children are able to go to work, look for work or attend school, knowing their child is cared for and learning in a safe, loving and high-quality environment. The donated toys, gifts and clothes are a welcome luxury most of the families cannot afford. <\/p>\n \u201cWe are overwhelmed by the generosity of the Credit Union employees,\u201d said Sarah Soriano, executive director of Young Horizons, in a press statement. \u201cThanks to LBS Financial for making our children\u2019s holiday special!
