Those who want to experience fireworks and partying on New Year’s Eve have the option of doing so locally in Long Beach, thanks to the Downtown Long Beach Associates.<\/p>\n
The event, highlighted by a performance by LA-based indie-pop group Fitz and the Tantrums, will begin at 5:00PM and will also feature a waterfront celebration with a live swing band, children’s activities and a ten-minute fireworks show, sponsored by Gladstone’s.<\/p>\n
In conjunction with the event, three downtown city blocks will be closed to traffic, so residents are advised to plan ahead.<\/p>\n
