{"id":29283,"date":"2022-03-12T11:21:09","date_gmt":"2022-03-12T19:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/?p=30000025530"},"modified":"2022-03-12T11:21:09","modified_gmt":"2022-03-12T19:21:09","slug":"panchos-vegan-tacos-closing-its-long-beach-location","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/esd\/hi-lo\/panchos-vegan-tacos-closing-its-long-beach-location","title":{"rendered":"Pancho&#8217;s Vegan Tacos closing its Long Beach location"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pancho\u2019s Vegan Tacos, which has operated in Long Beach for the last year, will close indefinitely, the restaurant\u2019s owner announced on Instagram Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Pancho\u2019s Las Vegas location will also close, the company announced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are committed to providing our guests and friends with the best quality vegan food and environment,\u201d stated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CbA0XX0JN1p\/\">the Instagram post<\/a>. \u201cThat commitment has obligated us to make the difficult decision of indefinitely closing both locations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Owner Sacbe Meling, a Downey native, opened his small chain of vegan restaurants in Nevada in 2016. Pancho\u2019s Long Beach restaurant on Seventh Street\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/entirely-plant-based-mexican-restaurant-panchos-vegan-tacos-to-open-april-6\">opened in April 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While Pancho\u2019s obviously sold tacos, its vegan fare also included burritos, tortas, enchiladas, quesadillas, sopes, tostadas, huaraches, albondigas, pozole, nachos, desserts, aqua frescas and vegan horchata.<\/p>\n<p>Pancho&#8217;s asada, al pastor and chorizo were all wheat-based. Their chicken was made from soy, while the carnitas from tender jackfruit.
