Photos courtesy of Caesar Cabada.<\/em><\/p>\n Santa Claus normally travels by air, but for this Saturday\u2019s special occasion in Long Beach he\u2019s ditching Rudolph and his sleigh for a journey by yacht. Children and their families are welcome to watch him arrive between 8:45AM to 9:45AM at Parkers\u2019 Lighthouse.<\/p>\n On Saturday, December 6 from 8AM to 11AM, the Annual \u201cBreakfast with Santa\u201d will welcome families from the community to see the jolly holiday character arrive in style, have their photo taken with him and eat a delicious breakfast. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Child Life Program at Miller Children\u2019s & Women\u2019s Hospital Long Beach.<\/p>\n As a way to spread holiday cheer throughout the Long Beach community and give back to the kids who are too sick to leave the hospital for the holidays, Parkers\u2019 Lighthouse has created this tradition to raise money for programs at Miller Children\u2019s. 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the hospital.<\/p>\n The Child Life Program was developed to make the hospital experience a more positive one for children of all ages by offering developmental, educational and emotional support because kids need more than medicine to get well. Children will be able to meet Santa along with \u201cMillie the Dolphin,\u201d the Miller Children\u2019s mascot, who will be greeting new arrivals to Parkers\u2019 Lighthouse. Children can make their case to Santa for the \u201cnice list\u201d and tell him what they hope to find under the tree this Christmas.<\/p>\n
