{"id":30092,"date":"2022-05-06T13:58:46","date_gmt":"2022-05-06T20:58:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/?p=30000026426"},"modified":"2022-05-06T14:00:57","modified_gmt":"2022-05-06T21:00:57","slug":"annual-seafood-festival-returns-to-long-beach-with-lobster-mac-n-cheese-gumbo-and-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/esd\/hi-lo\/annual-seafood-festival-returns-to-long-beach-with-lobster-mac-n-cheese-gumbo-and-more","title":{"rendered":"Annual seafood festival returns to Long Beach with lobster mac n&#8217; cheese, gumbo and more"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A festival celebrating the region&#8217;s seafood and the many creative chefs with a penchant for aquatic cuisine in Long Beach, Los Angeles and Orange County is returning to Downtown Saturday, May 28.<\/p>\n<p>The third annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lbseafoodfest.com\/\">Long Beach Seafood Festival<\/a> will be held at Shoreline Aquatic Park on the grassy slopes by Lions Lighthouse. Over 20 seafood vendors (and counting) are expected to take over the waterfront grounds, offering a diverse range of seafood dishes from sushi to crab cakes to lobster mac n&#8217; cheese and fried oysters to seafood gumbo, shrimp skewers, grilled squid and more.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to offering full-sized meals, each of the vendors will be selling smaller, sample-sized dishes priced at $5. So if you&#8217;re looking to try as many dishes as your stomach can handle, this approach is the way to go.<\/p>\n<p>The festival is designed to be a family-friendly event with live music and entertainment all day long. There will be communal games such as giant Jenga and Connect Four for attendees to enjoy, plus a giant mechanical bull.<\/p>\n<p>Some vendors will be hosting eating competitions for both kids and adults. And returning again this year for a live cooking demonstration is celebrity chef Shaun O&#8217;Neale who won season seven of Fox&#8217;s &#8220;MasterChef.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Adults (21+) can also check out the beer garden, which will be offering craft beers, hard kombucha and wine.
