DIA DE LOS MUERTOS ARTWALK (Saturday)<\/h3>\n

Handmade gifts and accessories shop Dainty Disco is hosting an art walk in celebration of Dia De Los Muertos Saturday, Oct. 29 at its storefront in North Long Beach.<\/p>\n

The art walk will be outside where visitors can shop themed art and other goods such as jewelry and home decor from local vendors and artists. There will also be coffee, a raffle and the opportunity to participate in a public altar to honor loved ones who have passed.<\/p>\n

LAST LAUGH SPOOKTACULAR (Saturday)<\/h3>\n

The improv comedy artists from Held2gether, Improv for Life are throwing a special Halloween show at the Expo Arts Center in Bixby Knolls Saturday, Oct. 29.<\/p>\n

The troupe will work off of “creepy suggestions” and input from the audience to help form the comedy show. Guests can also enjoy Halloween-themed cocktails and games. Guests are highly encouraged to come in costume.<\/p>\n

Entry costs $10. Tickets may be purchased online here<\/a>. Guests must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.<\/p>\n

Expo Arts Center is at 4321 Atlantic Ave.<\/em><\/p>\n

ZOMBIE WALK (Saturday)<\/h3>\n

Creatures of the night will shuffle down the Rainbow Harbor boardwalk at Shoreline Village for this year\u2019s Zombie Walk Halloween Party. This free event is for any and all zombies, no matter the stage of decay.<\/p>\n

Festivities kick off at 4 p.m. with live music, trick-or-treating and the grand zombie walk around Rainbow Harbor. Attendees can also expect a variety of costume contests\u2014like “best zombie”\u2014with prizes. There will also be special FX makeup artists on site for those who’d like to get zombie makeup done professionally (for a fee).<\/p>\n

“ROLLERWEEN” ROLLER DISCO (Sunday)<\/h3>\n

Dress up in your spookiest for the 9th annual “Rollerween” Halloween disco skate session over at the Junipero Basketball Courts at the beach on Sunday, Oct. 30.<\/p>\n

Expect lively tunes to skate to for the three-hour session, with a costume contest too. Those who need skates will be able to rent on-site.<\/p>\n

The Junipero Basketball Courts are next to Saltwater Deck at 2630 E. Ocean Blvd.<\/em><\/p>\n

MOLAA’S DIA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION (Sunday)<\/h3>\n

The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) is hosting its annual Dia De Los Muertos festival at the museum on Sunday, Oct. 30 with live entertainment, dance performances, crafts such as sugar skull painting and more.<\/p>\n

The event will also feature a screening of the animation “The Book of Life” with a Q&A from the director, George R. Guitierrez. The event is free to attend. However, parking costs $15 for the day. The celebration is from 11 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. Click here<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n

HAUTE DOG HOWL\u2019OWEEN DOG PARADE (Sunday)<\/h3>\n

The annual Haute Dog Howl\u2019oween Dog Parade is in full tail-swish with more than 450 costume-clad furry friends expected to strut\u2014humans in tow\u2014through Marina Vista Park this year.<\/p>\n

Organized by community activist Justin Rudd and his nonprofit Community Action Team (C.A.T), the parade, now in its 21st year, draws thousands of pet owners and dogless spectators alike. The procession is free to watch, but for ample viewing, you can purchase a front-row seat for $5.<\/p>\n

Think you and your pup has what it takes to win best in show? You can enter the parade costume contest for 10 bones (in advance) and vie for your chance to win prizes from Red Barn Premium Pet Products.<\/p>\n

The parade commences at 2:30 p.m., though there is a vendor and pet fair that starts at 12:30 p.m. Click here<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n
