Taste of Brews, a celebration of the passion that fuels today\u2019s bustling craft beer market, returns to Lighthouse Park in Long Beach on Saturday, August 23 from noon until 5:00PM. Now on its 4th year, this extensive beer-tasting festival aims to introduce new tastes to beer lovers from all over Long Beach and its neighboring communities.<\/p>\n

While Taste of Brew\u2019s list of confirmed participants is subject to change, beer connoisseurs can look forward to trying out a wide range of brews from both local and more far-reaching breweries. Locavores will be happy to know that hometown favorites Beachwood BBQ and<\/strong> Brewing<\/strong> and Belmont Brewing Company<\/strong> will be there representing Long Beach, while LA-area Strand Brewing Company<\/strong>, Absolution Brewing Company<\/strong>, Angel City Brewery<\/strong>, Golden Road Brewing<\/strong> and San Pedro Brewing Company<\/strong>, as well as Oakland-area Drake\u2019s Brewing<\/strong> bring flavors from all over the Golden State. There will also be gourmet food trucks feeding hungry beer-lovers, while several local bands including New American<\/strong>, Ride the Wave<\/strong> and Jubilo Drive<\/strong> entertain festival-goers. Taste of Brews is also hosting a Craft Beer Chase competition. Winners will be selected throughout the chase, while one Grand Prize Winner will be selected to receive brewery swag (growlers, pint glasses, and t-shirts) from participating breweries, $80 in TOB credit for future events, a TOB T-shirt, a TOB pint glass and, of course, bragging rights. For more information on how to enter click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Beer tasting hours for the 4-hour session ticket holders is from noon to 4:00PM while the 3-hour session lasts from 1:00-4:00PM. Free water will be available for all participants.
