Whether you smoke two joints in the morning, at night, or in the afternoon, you can now do it with Sublime-branded pre-rolls as the iconic Long Beach ska-punk band announced its new line of cannabis products this week.<\/p>\n

The band has partnered with Long Beach-based cultivator, Top Shelf Cultivation, and a Costa Mesa-based manufacturer, The Healing Plant, to launch \u201cREEFERS by Sublime.\u201d The initial offering from the brand includes three different packs of pre-rolls that are engineered for different times of the day.<\/p>\n

The \u201cIn the Morning\u201d pack is a sativa strain that is more suited for being active while the \u201cAt Night\u201d pack is an indica that\u2019s more suited for relaxation and sleep. The \u201cIn the Afternoon\u201d pack is a hybrid. The names of the products are a nod to a song off their 1992 album 40oz. To Freedom aptly named, \u201cSmoke Two Joints.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSublime has a legacy with cannabis that has spanned decades, steeped in positivity and its soulful importance to the reggae culture that was such an influence on their music and lifestyle,\u201d Troy Nowell, widow of lead singer Bradley Nowell, said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Nowell died of a heroin overdose in 1996.<\/p>\n

The new brand is being sold at a handful of Long Beach stores and in other cities in the region. Catalyst on Pine, King\u2019s Crew near Cal State Long Beach and the Long Beach Collective in North Long Beach are among the six locations in the city that are carrying the products<\/a>, according to the brand\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

Chris Egger, a spokesperson for the brand, said the line of products expected to be released in the future could include other things like edibles, tinctures and flower. He noted that all members of the band are fully behind the new launch.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor many celebrity brands there is a lack of follow through on the idea and the quality,\u201d Egger said. \u201cThere’s no way these guys were going to let that happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

The announcement of the new REEFER line of products comes just under two months from the expected release of a live album from a 1994 show at the Tressel Tavern in Everett, Washington.<\/p>\n

The \u201c$5 At the Door\u201d live album is being released on April 21 through Surfdog Records, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n
