How\u2019s this for a rarity? The cinefiles over at Cinemaattack have found an original 35mm print of the 1981 cult classic \u201cDance Craze\u201d and they\u2019re screening it for one night only. Get there a bit before show time though: DJ Lawless will spin old ska classics during a pre-show dance party, and the film\u2019s cinematographer, Joe Dunton is hosting a Q&A session (how\u2019d they get that guy?) If by chance you have a vintage Vespa or Lambretta, dust it off\u2014there\u2019s a scooter rally leading up to the event. Pork pie hats optional, but highly suggested.

Sub Pop Records recording artist (and one of Long Beach\u2019s favorite indie music sons<\/a>) makes an unannounced appearance at the minimal Fourth Street Vine wine bar. According to Avi\u2019s official tour schedule, his band is in the middle of a west coast club and theater tour, but this gig isn\u2019t even on the band\u2019s official web page so unless you\u2019re reading this, chances are this might be the band\u2019s most exclusive gig of the year. Intimate, too, if you know how small Fourth Street Vine is (about the width of a double garage and only twice as long (or you can just wait until next month when the band plays the Wiltern with a seating capacity of 1,850 as opposed to Fourth Street Vine\u2019s capacity of around 50 or so.)

Do you love the multitude of crafty wares on Etsy, but you\u2019re a little hesitant of buying handmade stuff online? Your problem\u2019s solved. The Spring Patchwork festival is like Etsy come to life except with a caravan of food trucks, bands, DIY craft stations (create your own stuff), and photo booths. I went to the Fall 2012 festival and was steeped in local, one-of-a-kind items ranging from post-modern home d\u00e9cor to vintage-y clothing and accessories (and some really cool, down-to-earth vendors that\u2019ll talk to you all afternoon about their hand-crafted merch).

Have you looked around some of Long Beach\u2019s residential neighborhoods lately? There are some incredibly stunning homes out there\u2014they\u2019re like works of art\u2014some literally are, too. Have you ever wanted to peek into those houses? The Long Beach Heritage group (they uphold the preservation Long Beach\u2019s history and architecture) is making all of your voyeuristic dreams come true. This at-your-own-pace walking tour will allow you into five homes: all beautiful, some even National Historic Landmarks. Photography is allowed, but sorry\u2014Bixby Knolls\u2019 Ferris Bueller home in is not on the tour this year.

If you have kids and if they\u2019re like most kids, they spend their weekend affixed to the computer, TV, Xbox\u2014whatever gadget they\u2019re obsessed with this week. In short, you need to get them out of the house and get some fresh air. This is the event to make that happen. The LBC Park Jam is a community-run collective\u2014yep, it\u2019s funded and hosted by Long Beach residents like yourself. It has a \u201cfamily reunion at the park\u201d vibe: everyone brings picnic baskets and coolers filled with food and drinks, claim their spot on the park\u2019s 33 acres, and wander from booth to booth. Past Jams featured bands, DJs, live art, and games for the kids (water balloon tosses, three-legged races, raffles, etc.) It\u2019s like a LBC version of Coachella-meets-a De La Soul video multiplied by a neighborhood block party.
