Representatives from Kohl\u2019s Department Stores and Kohl\u2019s injury prevention team members presented Miller Children\u2019s Hospital Long Beach with $200,692 to continue the Kohl\u2019s Keeping Kids Safe Program at Miller Children\u2019s Hospital Long Beach. The Kohl\u2019s Keeping Kids Safe Program was established to expand the childhood safety programs of Miller Children\u2019s further into the community and help to educate and keep kids safe.<\/p>\n
Since 2010, Kohl\u2019s has donated more than $600,000 to Miller Children\u2019s. This year\u2019s grant will help sustain the Kohl\u2019s Keeping Kids Safe Program, a safety initiative emphasizing injury prevention and expanding childhood safety programs in the local communities of Long Beach, the South Bay and North Orange County.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are so thankful for the generous support from Kohl\u2019s Department Stores. This donation will help to purchase car seats and helmets for our patients and families,\u201d says Danny Luna, injury prevention coordinator, Miller Children\u2019s Hospital Long Beach.<\/p>\n
The presentation of the Kohl\u2019s donation kicked-off the inaugural Miller Children\u2019s walk, iWalk\u2026for Kids, with local community, friends and family to support the critical programs, services and research initiatives of Miller Children\u2019s. There was no more fitting announcement of this safety program development than a walk designed in the spirit of prevention, wellness and keeping kids out of the hospital.<\/p>\n
