This once sleepy hollow of Long Beach has been slowly evolving into what most people now know as home to the hip First Fridays on Atlantic Avenue. Most of the former shops and restaurants have been replaced with something more current, but one of the few to stand the test of time is the <strong>Alsace Lorraine Bakery<\/strong>. As a kid growing up in the BK, it has always been one of my favorite indulgences.<\/p>\n<p>Located at <strong>4334 Atlantic Ave.<\/strong>, Alsace\u2019s has been baking up sweet treats in Bixby Knolls for the past 50 years. They make everything from morning croissants to after-dinner desserts. Many are the same recipes used when they open in 1947.
