The company will fit comfortable into a\u00a0vegan scene in Long Beach, which is becoming unparalleled to anywhere else in the Los Angeles region.<\/p>\n<p>We have long-time vegan joints Ahimsa and Steamed in DTLB joining a plethora of newer options that have opened up over the past year or so, including\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.longbeachize.com\/long-beach-foodie-update-seabirds-is-coming-to-4th-street-pho-is-coming-to-dtlb\">Seabirds<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.longbeachize.com\/long-beach-foodie-update-under-the-sun-vegan-soft-opens-in-dtlb-more-thai-coming-no-joke\">Under the Sun<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.longbeachize.com\/long-beach-foodie-update-more-vegan-options-coming-including-las-the-grain-cafe-and-vegan-monte-cristos\">The Grain Cafe<\/a>, the expansion of both\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.longbeachize.com\/long-beach-foodie-update-commodity-caffeinated-kitchen-move-working-class-kitchen-michaels-re-brands-dtlb\">Caffeinated Kitchen<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.longbeachize.com\/long-beach-foodie-update-wild-chive-launches-vegan-dinner-made-millworks-dtlb\">Wild Chive<\/a>, along with restaurants offering vegan options that go beyond a veggie-patty, pseudo-sammie. (There&#8217;s a vegan poutine at <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2HYedf2\">Lacquered<\/a> that is pretty spectacular and <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/life\/food\/15-essential-long-beach-dishes-gotta-eat\/\">The HipPea&#8217;s falafel is one of our essential Long Beach dishes<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>And when it comes to the food, Plant Power aims for a purely Californian palate. Vegan milkshakes. Chili cheese fries. Buffalo chicken. Burgers. The whole nine yards. All plant-based, no animal products included.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur secret mission has always been to turn more people on to a vegan diet,\u201d said Zach Vouga, VP of operations. \u201cIt\u2019s obviously the wave of the future. But we totally understand that diet is such a personal issue and that each person goes at his or her own pace. So the Plant Power Fast Food brand is really all about turning people on to how delicious plant-based food can be. And we\u2019re doing it in a way that\u2019s welcoming and fun.
