Best Sunday Funday: Gallagher’s<\/strong>
Sunday Funday. It’s a staple of a phrase amongst the new generation that relegates the end-of-the-weekend debauchery to the a.m. — all under many excuses: hair of the dog from the previous evening, work the following day, or simply, “It’s five o’clock somewhere.” <\/p>\n

Either way, Gallagher’s has Sunday Funday down. In fact<\/span>, be prepared to stretch your vocal cords in order to be heard because \u2013 quite literally \u2013 unless you come early, you\u2019ll be waiting for a standing room, let a lone a seat. However, despite the chaos of pints of beer, plates of food, and sports games surrounding you via televisions plastered onto every wall, you\u2019ll be greeted and welcomed like everyone would like to: with a warm smile and a \u201cWhattya need?\u201d<\/p>\n

Erin Edmonds, the owner of Gallagher\u2019s who happened to have the flu that Sunday, made sure we were taken care of despite the craziness \u2013 and it was Mandie Ireton, the manager, who executed it rather flawlessly. Talk about a woman with backbone: she, like ALL the incredible servers, could seemingly run with a hand tied behind her back — all the while chit chatting, pouring beer, cleaning up, smiling, and stretching on the side in one fell swoop. Admirable and adorable, this is the kind of neighborhood joint that makes one happy to be Irish \u2013 even if it\u2019s just for a few hours.<\/p>\n

And even better: you got yourself some bottomless mimosas until 2pm to chant, cheer, boo, and relish in the sports games on TV or the drinking games on tables. <\/p>\n
