The Bixby Knolls Rock Party was under way when I arrived there this afternoon, with throngs of people enjoying the festive atmosphere. Here are a few shots of the goings on:<\/p>\n

The equipment for moving the rock was impressive.<\/p>\n

Two huge trucks pushing, and one in front pulling!<\/p>\n

DJ spinning rock tunes.<\/p>\n

Massive equipment left one lane on either side of the street.<\/p>\n

Lots of people occupying the sidewalk.<\/p>\n

Today, the massive granite rock destined for LACMA’s Levitated Mass made a stop in Bixby Knolls, where they rolled out the red carpet and threw a rock-themed party.
