In addition to the <\/a><\/a>DLBA\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve celebration which features two massive parties – the free, family-friendly Waterfront event from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, and the ticketed high-energy street party on Pine from 7:00pm to 2:00am – there are plenty of ways to get out and enjoy the season in Downtown Long Beach.

Local live bands CPO & The SAPS and Them Novus will serve up family-friendly music and a trackless train will offer free rides along the esplanade between the Aquarium of the Pacific and Shoreline Village. At 9 p.m., the sky lights up for an East Coast countdown with a ten minute fireworks spectacular. Love Fool will open the show with a rocking 90s set and in keeping with the countdown theme, they\u2019ll be back for a 80s mix that will set the tone for the event headliner. Wayward Sons, a celebrated 70s cover band, will wow the crowd. At midnight, the countdown to 2012 will begin. At midnight, fireworks will light up the sky for the New Year.
