11:15am | <\/strong>The University Art Museum<\/a>, the Long Beach Museum of Art<\/a>, and the Museum of Latin American Art<\/a> are all presenting exhibitions that are part of the Getty Foundation’s Pacific Standard Time<\/a> initiative, which focuses on art created in Southern California between 1945 and 1980. More than 60 institutions in Southern California are participating in the initiative. <\/p>\n

This Sunday, the three museums will team up to help connect local residents with these engaging works by presenting free curated tours of the shows, free bus trips between the institutions, and free admission. <\/p>\n

The University Art Museum is presenting Peace Press Graphics: 1967-1987: Art in the Pursuit of Social Change. In addition to the Focus Day events, they’re also hosting a closing reception for the show, which will include live music, a drawing for free tickets to see Lou Reed and Bob Ezrin in conversation at The Carpenter Performing Arts Center, and refreshments. <\/p>\n

At the Long Beach Museum of Art, they’re presenting Exchange\/Evolution: Worldwide Video Long Beach 1974-1999, and a special screening of Joan Jonas’ “I Want to Live in the Country (And Other Romances)” in the Lane Oceanview Gallery. <\/p>\n

The Museum of Latin American Art is presenting MEX\/LA: Mexican Modernism(s) in Los Angeles 1930-1985. They will also have music performances by Josh Kun, Little Willie G, Ruben Guevera, and the Eastside Luvers. <\/p>\n
