As the president of Goodwill Serving the People of Southern Los Angeles County, I am proud to represent our organization and discuss our work. We are dedicated to enhancing the dignity and quality of life of individuals, families and communities by eliminating barriers to employment and helping people in need reach their fullest potential through the power of work. Because our efforts are primarily focused on helping people optimize their socio-economicallv well being, we find ourselves working for a better tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Today we live in a society where you cannot leave home without your wireless device in order to not miss an opportunity, whether it be for employment, education or some other opportunity that can change your life in an instant.  Long Beach has the opportunity to strengthen and enhance its wireless networks, which will benefit the community, its schools, residents, and businesses.<\/p>\n

People at home and at work depend on a robust wireless network to conduct their business day to day, carry out their organizational mission and communicate with family and friends. For instance, mobile coverage ensures parents and teachers have access to a wider range of resources that enhance educational opportunities for students. Distance learning, virtual classrooms and instant two-way communication enable more flexibility in education no matter where you live or go to school. Mobile coverage gives businesses of all sizes more flexibility and opportunity to reach customers. It allows business owners to be innovative while also saving money.  <\/p>\n

The residents and the leadership of the City of Long Beach need to allow the wireless telecommunications providers to build and upgrade the infrastructure necessary to provide top quality service so that we can carry out our respective work and mission. Faster, more reliable wireless services will improve our quality of life and move our city forward \u2014 without leaving anyone behind. <\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
