And<br \/>to further bring home that point, beginning this Thursday with Samuel Beckett&#8217;s &#8220;Waiting for Godot,&#8221; every Long Beach Playhouse show will open with a Thursday-night&nbsp;preview that is a pay-what-you-can night.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s our way to extend the theatre experience to every community member,&#8221; says Daisy&nbsp;Ramirez-Gutierrez, the playhouse&#8217;s marketing manager.<\/p>\n<p>While money is, of course, accepted for these shows, so is nonperishable food \u2014&nbsp;even pet food.<\/p>\n<p>If you can&#8217;t make the Thursday show, Friday is a half-price preview \u2014 which in this&nbsp;case is $11.
