9:45am |<\/strong> The city of Long Beach celebrated Mardi Gras on Saturday with a parade around Rainbow Harbor, during which residents and visitors were sure to let the good times roll, or, as they would say in New Orleans, laissez les bon temps rouler<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The festive afternoon featured various attendees and parade participants cloaked in brightly-hued outfits and costumes accessorized by an abundance of purple, yellow, green and gold beads.<\/p>\n

The afternoon event, held in honor of the world-famous celebration in New Orleans, featured a little bit of something for everyone, including live entertainment, mask- and bead-making stations and a shrimp-eating contest at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.<\/p>\n
