Le Yen&#8217;s menu consists of traditional Chinese entrees that you would expect to see like beef broccoli and chow mein. I did not find anything overly exotic.<\/p>\n<p>We ordered ginger beef, three-princess chicken (at my daughter&#8217;s request), chow mein, and hot and sour soup. All of our meals were infused with a blend of fresh vegetables. When I know I&#8217;m eating Chinese Food I will typically fast the entire day because I expect artery-clogging greasy goodness; however, I was surprised to find the meal was light and fresh-tasting. My waist certainly thanked me for the calorie reduction but my taste buds were left craving a bit more. Perhaps MSG isn&#8217;t always a bad thing.<\/p>\n<p>Le Yen also has a kids&#8217; menu of more American items for those picky eaters like chicken nuggets and french fries. I force my kids to eat what we give them or starve so I did not pay too much attention to the modified menu but the kids&#8217; meals were a good deal at $4.75.<\/p>\n<p>I was expecting a place that states family restaurant in their name to be a good place to take the kids and they deliver. I&#8217;m still surprised that waitresses voluntarily offer rice to my kids, but hey, they are the ones cleaning up &#8211; not me.
