9:00am |<\/strong> Tickets are now on sale for the 7th Annual Belmont Shore Chocolate Festival on Saturday, February 5, 2011. The popular community event, which runs from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, allows visitors to sample an array of chocolate treats provided by participating Belmont Shore merchants. <\/p>\n

Live music will be performed during the event. The community can get involved by entering the Homemade Chocolate Dessert Contest, which runs from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, and children can compete in the Chocolate Pie Eating Contest at 3:30pm. Trophies will be awarded at 4:00pm. to the best desserts in several categories: Chocolate Pies and Cakes, Chocolate Cookies and Brownies, and Unique Chocolate Treats. <\/p>\n

Ticket books are on sale this week at: La Strada Italiano (4716 E. 2nd St.); Mail Boxes Etc. (5318 E. 2nd St.); Sweet Jill’s (5224 E. 2nd St.); and We Olive (4725 E. 2nd St). Books of 12 tickets will be sold on the day of event for $10 in front of Chase Bank, 5200 E. 2nd St.<\/p>\n
