In an attempt to find information about possible murder suspects, homicide detectives from the Long Beach Police Department passed around reward flyers in the North Long Beach neighborhood where 14-year old Eduardo Rodriguez was shot and killed a few weeks ago. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors recently approved a $10,000 reward for anyone who provides information leading to the apprehension or conviction of the persons responsible.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez, a freshman at Jordan High School, was playing video games at his home near the 1600 block of East 53rd Street on November 17 when he answered a knock at the door and was shot and killed. Authorities have determined that the shots came from behind a metal gate and that the suspects likely could not tell who they were shooting at. Police say the shooting is being investigated as gang-related. A family member of Rodriguez has gang ties and used to live at the residence.<\/p>\n
