{"id":5713,"date":"2009-10-08T06:02:00","date_gmt":"2009-10-08T06:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lbpost.com\/articles\/life\/podcast-gaston-nogues-speaks-about-long-beach-exposed\/"},"modified":"2009-10-08T06:02:00","modified_gmt":"2009-10-08T06:02:00","slug":"podcast-gaston-nogues-speaks-about-long-beach-exposed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/esd\/hi-lo\/podcast-gaston-nogues-speaks-about-long-beach-exposed","title":{"rendered":"Podcast: Gaston Nogues Speaks About Long Beach Exposed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 1px solid black; margin: 2px; width: 600px; height: 400px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.longbeachculture.org\/lbpost\/exposed09\/Gaston01.jpg\" alt=\"\" align=\"left\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ball-nogues.com\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ball-Nogues Studio<\/a> is an award winning archetectural firm, and one of 16 artists\/groups presenting work at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artslb.org\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Long Beach Exposed<\/a>, which opens at the Expo Building in Bixby Knolls this Friday evening at 7 PM.<\/p>\n<p>Their work has been seen by thousands, at Coachella Valley Music &amp; Arts Festival, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, and as far afield as Italy and Austria. Their work is rooted in the physical, but previsualization takes place virtually and, with the invention of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ball-nogues.com\/insta_llator_1\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new hardware<\/a>, they&#8217;ve extended the boundaries of what&#8217;s possible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ball-nogues.com\/bios\/\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gaston Nogues<\/a> took some time away from the installation process to talk about the work, the studio, and how the processes they use evolved.<\/p>\n<p>Listen to the podcast:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.longbeachculture.org\/lbpost\/GastonNogues.mp3\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.longbeachculture.org\/lbpost\/podcast-sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are a few images of the installed work:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 1px solid black;
