From Noon until midnight on Saturday December 13th, {open} will celebrate 5 years in business with a retrospective of sorts, featuring performances, art exhibitions, and a sampling of their on-going events. <\/p>\n
{open}, primarily a book store, first began in the East Village where it acted as a cultural hub for the burgeoning neighborhood. At the height of its success there, co-owners Shea Gauer and Sé Reed recognized an opportunity to become a part of the 4th Street Retro Row and relocated. <\/p>\n
Since then, they haven’t looked back, and have worked tirelessly to activate and vitalize the area. Working with innovative artists, authors, and performers, they’ve carved out a name for themselves as purveyores of quality. <\/p>\n
