It’s a warm Wednesday night in Belmont Heights. The neighbors are out walking their dogs, children are playing in the park. Over to the side near the waters edge, dozens of people are listening to a live classical guitarist and eating some sort of BBQ. A fresh breeze rushes by and then something hits me, This is what life is all about! You know, the finer things, like safety, relaxation, good food, good weather, no stress… I can see why so many people love the mix of Long Beach, Summer and a good hearty local farmers market. Have you tried it?<\/p>\n

Home grown Figs, (act biblical and eat some figs.)<\/p>\n

Shop for your produce at a quarter of the price.<\/p>\n


Extremely fresh!<\/p>\n


These grapes can be dangerous… you can’t stop eating them once you start… they will spoil your dinner.<\/p>\n


Berries are good for everything…you knew that!<\/p>\n


Best peanut in town. <\/p>\n


Salsa stand. (I sat here and just ate chips with their samples until there was nothing else to talk about)<\/p>\n


It’s nearly like I’m a spy, shooting through mirrors and all.<\/p>\n

Go at closing for extremely good deals! They pretty much tried giving me all those green beans.<\/p>\n

An evening spent shopping in this location with good friends, a picnic on hand and not a care in the world (except for maybe those bills and getting home in time to watch the Olympics!).<\/p>\n

Consider the Wednesday night Farmers Market a way to get out, to slow down a little and take a deep breath of fresh air… maybe even eat a nectarine fresh off the tree.<\/p>\n
