If you ever wanted to learn more about sharks or other marine animals then the Cal State Long Beach Shark Lab was the place to go this weekend.<\/p>\n

The lab, started in 1966, \u00a0held its annual open house Saturday and offered a variety of family fun stations to cure your curiosity of what lurks under the deep blue.<\/p>\n

Guests were treated to live animal tanks, hands-on science experiments, a solar telescope, skeleton and fur display, photo station, and so much more.<\/p>\n

Many of the activities offered were hands on. Kids built rockets and raced them against each other.<\/p>\n

If you ventured into the Shark Lab your could view a shark in its tank or get a close-up view of baby stingrays from Seal Beach.<\/p>\n

Many undergraduate and graduate students were on hand help to answer your questions and guide you through activities. Technology used to study the sharks and sea life was also on display.<\/p>\n

This year’s open house was a success as the Shark Lab continues to educate the public about the life in our oceans.<\/p>\n
