Try moving a whole library"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 300,000 books, were on the move Wednesday as\u00a0 Long Beach Public Library staff members moved the tomes to their new home at the corner of Broadway and Pacific Avenue in Downtown. The library is expected to open its doors on Sept. 21, a few months after City Hall moves to the new Civic Center on July 29.<\/p>\n<p>The new 93,000-square-foot Douglas fir-paneled library building is part of the $520 million project that includes a new city hall and a refurbished Lincoln Park. It will include 86 computers, up from 60 at the old building.
