Is your mom the sporty type? Or the mimosa and brunch type? Or both? Check out these five events happening Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13 for Mother\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

Rancho Los Cerritos Mother\u2019s Day Tea<\/strong>
\nRancho Los Cerritos will be celebrating Mother\u2019s Day with Mother\u2019s Day Tea from 11:30AM to 1:00PM. The event will include sandwiches, scones, tea and champagne. Tickets cost $20 for attendees 13 years old or younger and $45 for those 14 years old and older.<\/p>\n

Rancho Los Cerritos is located at 4600 Virginia Road.<\/em><\/p>\n

Hotel Maya\u2019s Champagne Brunch<\/strong>
\nHotel Maya will be hosting Mother\u2019s Day Brunch in Fuego\u2019s outdoor patio and lounge from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. Guests will be served with an appetizer, entr\u00e9e and desserts made by Executive Chef Victor Juarez. The Mother\u2019s Day brunch will also include a Fuego Taco Station, a specialty Omelets and Waffles Station and Fuego\u2019s holiday Carving Station. The brunch will also include bottomless champagne and mimosas.<\/p>\n

The event will offer an arts and crafts area for children where they can also get their face painted.<\/p>\n

Aquarium Mother\u2019s Day Brunch<\/strong>
\nCelebrate Mother\u2019s Day with brunch and explore the sea life at the Aquarium of the Pacific from 10:30AM to 1:30PM. The brunch is an open seating style, but parties of eight or more will have a reserved table. Tickets cost $69 for adults and $29 for children. The ticket will include an all day aquarium admission. Mother\u2019s Day Marathon<\/strong>
\nActive will be organizing a Long Beach Mother\u2019s Day 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon Run\/Walk on Saturday, March 12. Participants can bring strollers along the run\/walk, but dogs are not allowed. The event will offer bananas, cookies, water and more for participants. Finishers will be given a medal and a goodie bag. Tickets range from $22 to $37 depending on the distance. Check-in begins at 6:45AM to 7:30AM at the tables closest to 54th Place.<\/p>\n

Claire\u2019s at the Museum Mother\u2019s Day Brunch<\/strong>
\nThe Amgen Tour of California isn\u2019t stopping Claire\u2019s from hosting its popular Mother\u2019s Day Brunch, with a special menu, live jazz ensemble, family artmaking workshops and free valet on Sunday from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. Directions to the museum campus have been provided to those navigating the closed streets during the race.
