{"id":8090,"date":"2019-08-31T14:39:03","date_gmt":"2019-08-31T21:39:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/?p=30000001896"},"modified":"2019-08-31T14:39:03","modified_gmt":"2019-08-31T21:39:03","slug":"long-beach-comic-con-gives-cosplayers-a-place-to-find-your-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/esd\/hi-lo\/long-beach-comic-con-gives-cosplayers-a-place-to-find-your-people","title":{"rendered":"Long Beach Comic-Con gives cosplayers a place &#8216;to find your people&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Spiderman, Deadpool, Batman and bevy of characters from Star Wars came to the annual Long Beach Comic-Con on Saturday, a tradition many attendees say is about art and creativity.<\/p>\n<p>The two-day convention included cosplay, carnival games, Nerf wars, dozens of exhibits and on Saturday, a costume contest for the best villain, best hero, best space theme and more.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees came from as far as Florida, Nevada, New York and elsewhere. &#8220;You won&#8217;t know the feeling of finally finding your people if you haven&#8217;t gone to Comic-Con,&#8221; said attendee Kathia Obregon.<\/p>\n<p>The convention continues from 11 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
