Will Taylor Swift make it to the Super Bowl<\/a> to support her man Travis Kelce after performing in Tokyo? We don\u2019t know (she probably will), but we do know that we\u2019ve got some great events this week.<\/p>\n

Regarding shows, we\u2019ve got burlesque at Harvelle\u2019s and \u201cLove’s Labour\u2019s Lost\u201d from the Long Beach Shakespeare Company. Looking to go out? We\u2019ve got a Mardi Gras celebration in Shoreline Village and a Super Bowl watch party at Birdies n Brews.<\/p>\n

And for those wanting to celebrate Lunar New Year Vietnamese style this weekend, we recommend heading out of town for the UVSA T\u1ebft Festival<\/a> in Costa Mesa.<\/p>\n

The Long Beach Shakespeare Company is performing this romantic Shakespearean comedy Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10 starting 8 p.m. at the Helen Borgers Theatre. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The play centers on a king and two of his friends having to host a princess and her two ladies \u2013 right after the men take a \u201cno woman\u201d vow to commit to study and self-improvement. They end up falling in love, of course, but the couples are tested.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $25 for general admission and $15 for students. There are also productions next weekend in case you miss this one.<\/p>\n

Toast-to-Ghost Valentine\u2019s Class (Saturday – Sunday, Wednesday)<\/b><\/h3>\n

Couples can recreate the iconic pottery romance scene from the 1990 classic film, \u201cGhost,\u201d at a special pottery session Saturday, Feb. 10, Sunday, Feb. 11 or on Valentine\u2019s Day Wednesday, Feb. 14.<\/p>\n

As attendees channel Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, they can learn their way around a pottery wheel while enjoying beer, wine and snacks from a local eatery.<\/p>\n

Couples can choose which of their creations they want finished with a glaze and their names engraved after the class.<\/p>\n

Mardi Gras at Shoreline Village (Saturday)<\/b><\/h3>\n

Mardi Gras will return to Shoreline Village this Saturday, Feb. 10 from 1 to 5 p.m., family-friendly and free of charge for the public.<\/p>\n

Guests can enjoy a slice of New Orleans as there will be masks, live Zydeco music, food, entertainment from stilt walkers and jugglers and dancing as well as face painting and balloon twists for kids.<\/p>\n

Eats will include hot, fresh beignets and New Orleans cuisine like gumbo, jambalaya and shrimp boil from Louisiana Charlie\u2019s restaurant.<\/p>\n

The parade will start at 2:30 p.m. at Famous Dave\u2019s restaurant, featuring the Louisiana Culture Street Steppers.<\/p>\n

For those looking for something a little less<\/i> family-friendly, Harvelle\u2019s Long Beach is hosting Bobbi DeCarlo and her band, featuring burlesque star Audrey DeLuxe this Saturday, Feb. 10 from 9 to 11 p.m.<\/p>\n

Attendees can immerse themselves in vintage Vegas glamor and Hollywood burlesque with jazz, swing and cocktails.<\/p>\n

Tickets start at $21 for general admission and are good for a two-drink minimum. Doors open at 8 p.m. for the earlybirds who want cocktails and dinner. For tickets and more information, click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nickelodeon\u2019s rescue dogs are coming to the Long Beach Convention Center for \u201cPAW Patrol LIVE! \u201cHeroes Unite\u201d this Saturday, Feb. 10 and Sunday, Feb. 11 with showtimes varying from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

In this wholesome show for kids, Ryder and the other PAW Patrols Dogs catch Robo Dog clones and face challenges together, featuring storytelling, visual effects and a musical score.<\/p>\n

Super Bowl at Birdies n Brews Golf Club (Sunday)<\/b><\/h3>\n

Birdies n Brews Golf Club will host their own Super Bowl Sunday on Feb. 11 from 3 to 7 p.m., streaming the event from a 10-foot projector screen.<\/p>\n

A $75 reservation can get one person $5 loaded hot dogs, pulled pork sammies and esquite with craft beer, seltzers, ciders and liquid death. And of course, guests can play virtual golf while watching the game.<\/p>\n
