{"id":81729,"date":"2024-02-23T16:04:34","date_gmt":"2024-02-24T00:04:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/?p=81729"},"modified":"2024-02-23T16:04:34","modified_gmt":"2024-02-24T00:04:34","slug":"le-macaron-is-belmont-shores-newest-pastry-shop-offering-french-confections-and-coffee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/esd\/hi-lo\/le-macaron-is-belmont-shores-newest-pastry-shop-offering-french-confections-and-coffee","title":{"rendered":"Le Macaron is Belmont Shore&#8217;s newest pastry shop, offering French confections and coffee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pastry chain Le Macaron is now <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/le-macaron-shop-set-to-open-in-late-summer-on-belmont-shores-2nd-street\/\">open in Belmont Shore<\/a> serving up famed French confections as well as coffee, gelato, chocolates and more.<\/p>\n<p>The shop, located next to <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/candified-jackie-sorkin-candy-queen-amy-mason\/\">Candified<\/a>, has been open for a few weeks, but will have a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening on Saturday, March 2 at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The brand\u2019s handmade macaron shells, which draw heavily on the famed Chef Pierre Herm\u00e9 school of thought, are an 80% almond flour to 20% meringue (sweet, whipped egg whites) ratio.<\/p>\n<p>In between the two shells, macarons usually have a ganache (ga-nosh), or chocolate and cream mixture, fruity jam or cream.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a dessert that appeals to those with dietary restrictions like a gluten-free diet because the ingredients used don&#8217;t contain gluten, and some flavors, like the mango jam and key lime-strawberry, are dairy-free.<\/p>\n<p>The brand&#8217;s macaron menu ranges from classic flavors like Belgian chocolate and salted caramel to more unique flavors like lavender white chocolate and rose and rotates flavors seasonally.<\/p>\n<p>Coffee and other pastries, like lemon bars and eclairs, are also available.
