But shelter workers know better\u2014former Easter bunnies are treated like the New Kid in Town in the Eagles\u2019 song\u2014dumped in green areas or turned in to the shelter, and ultimately forgotten.<\/p>\n<p>There are a couple waiting to be taken home from our shelter at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.longbeach.gov\/acs\">Long Beach Animal Care Services<\/a> (ACS), along with one really swell cat who asked if she could be thought of as a bunny with short ears and a long tale\u2014rabbit in reverse, as it were. Regardless, each of these critters will hop into your heart when you visit them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-64270 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Dapper-Dan-970x728.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dapper Dan<\/strong> (ID#A603845) is a neutered male of unknown age. He was found as a stray and doubtless had some help becoming one. He likes people, though\u2014he\u2019s very friendly and will come up and let you pet him.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-64272 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Pancakes-970x728.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This little fellow\u2019s name is <strong>Pancakes<\/strong> (ID#A605575)\u2014don\u2019t you love that? He\u2019s just a baby at 3 months old. The owner gave him up two days before Easter! He\u2019s a friendly little guy that needs a loving, forever home!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-64274 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Tiny-Dancer-970x728.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tiny Dancer<\/strong> (ID#A605520), a little spayed female tortoiseshell, was also found as a stray. She\u2019s a year old and is social and friendly\u2014she\u2019ll come right up to you and let you pet her. She\u2019s sweet and loving and would love to lie beside you, whether you have sheets of linen or some other material.<\/p>\n<p>ACS is located in the P. D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village, 7700 East Spring Street, Long Beach, at the entrance to El Dorado Park (no parking fees for Village visitors).
