Cordova.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Their sourdough Pan de Muerto for instance, which <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/gusto-breads-pan-de-muerto-is-a-sweet-way-to-remember-loved-ones-passed\/\">we wrote about in 2020<\/a>, recalls the bread Enciso&#8217;s father used to make every year but uses freshly milled fennel and zest from oranges bought at a local farmer&#8217;s market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The New York Times recommends the Nixtamal Queen, which \u2014 in the same vein, takes the beloved kouign-amann pastry and somehow improves upon it by adding sourdough and nixtamalized corn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n    <a href=\"#XHECJQES\">Link<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Before landing in the Times, Gusto had already won accolades from <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/addison-arturo-enciso-gusto-bread-food-wine-best-in-america\/\">Food &amp; Wine<\/a>\u00a0and the <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/food\/gusto-bread-finalist-james-beard-award-long-beach\/\">James Beard Awards<\/a>, but it&#8217;s nice to see an even bigger audience learn about the amazing food coming out of Long Beach that \u2014 in this case \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/my-weekend-gusto-bread\/\">started as a sourdough baking hobby<\/a> that&#8217;s grown into a nationally recognized business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Gusto Bread is at 2710 E.
