Check them all out <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vARMvAtIbnA&amp;list=PLmyeRr4fPAS0zVLzDWqMvv3zH_nAXNVS1\"><i>here<\/i><\/a><i>.<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De\u2019Mon Tyndell <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/news\/long-beach-street-vendor-rules-struggling-comply-free-carts-few-licensed\/\">started his sidewalk food business<\/a> when he lost his job as a chef shortly after moving across the country to Long Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had the chops, having worked in high-end kitchens in New Jersey, but now, he was on his own, hawking cajun-style meats wrapped in tortillas from his cart and orange tent at beaches, bars and events around Long Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n    <a href=\"#XHECJQES\">Link<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Half a decade later, he\u2019s built a name for himself and his popup: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thequesadillacalling\/\">The Quesadilla Calling<\/a>. Cordova<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>New additions to the menu include Cajun shrimp skewers, a surf and turf quesadilla along with a vegan beef quesadilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On his website, Tyndell also sells a chimichurri sauce titled \u201cChurrdog\u201d that is \u201cless on the oily side, more on the fresh and flavorful side.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His goal, Tyndell said, is to eventually own a storefront and franchise the brand. Cordova<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Quesadilla Calling was recently approved for a business license from Long Beach and he\u2019s in the final stages of applying for <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/news\/business\/free-carts-sidewalk-street-vending-long-beach\/\">a free food-vendor cart from the city.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once he gets the cart, Tyndell said he plans to serve his gourmet quesadillas at events throughout Southern California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thequesadillacalling\/?hl=en\"><i>The Quesadilla Calling<\/i><\/a><i> sets up regularly at Alex\u2019s Bar on East Anaheim Street near Orizaba Street every Tuesday from 9 p.m. to midnight.<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Video by Thomas R.
