Hell,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Bk5txSxnlXH\/?taken-by=portsidefishco\">it\u2019s even spawned wannabe versions of its platter in Irvine<\/a>\u00a0(though there is no comparison to the OG version).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SanPedroFishMarket-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-69496\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/SanPedroFishMarket-2-970x674.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"970\" height=\"674\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In fact, between it and the Crusty Crab\u2014the other restaurant in San Pedro\u2019s famed Ports O\u2019 Call complex in the Port of Los Angeles\u2014they serve 1.1M people every year.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, that\u2019s \u201cmillion\u201d with an M.<\/p>\n<p>And now, Ungaro has announced that the market&#8217;s Long Beach location\u2014 along Alamitos Bay, replacing the Joe\u2019s Crab Shack at 6550 Marina Dr.\u2014will be open by the end of the year after setbacks that <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/san-pedro-fish-market-moving-forward-with-second-full-fledged-location-in-long-beach-massive-trays-of-seafood-included\/\">pushed its opening date in the summer of last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fsanpedrofish%2Fvideos%2F748514175587021%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=267\" width=\"267\" height=\"476\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlans are to have a soft opening in November,\u201d Ungaro said.<\/p>\n<p>The flavor San Pedro Fish Market\u2019s serving style\u2014pick your seafood, tell \u2019em how you want it cooked, pick some toppings, and take your tray of oceanic culinary wonder to a table to indulge\u2014is sure to garner a new set of fans that rarely, if ever, venture past the Vincent Thomas Bridge to explore San Pedro or the Port of Los Angeles. (Though that might also change given the massive overhaul of its<\/p>\n<p>One of my go-to faves? Their famed tray of jumbo shrimp with potatoes, peppers, and yes, an entire loaf of fresh bread to soak up the juicy runoff. (Speaking of shrimp, a couple years back, the Market garnered <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingsoffishtv.com\/\">social media attention<\/a>\u00a0unlike any other after the launch of their \u201cWorld\u2019s Largest Seafood Tray\u201d back in June that featured more than 50 pounds of shrimp alone. Oh, and they also fry sheepshead fish to a damn perfection.)<\/p>\n<p>Welcome to Long Beach, San Pedro.
