Their newest location opened Nov. 15, just outside the western edge of Cambodia Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the rain that day, 500 people were in line by 7 a.m. for the grand opening, excited to try a variety of specialty drinks and hoping to be one of the lucky customers to receive a free tote bag full of goodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOh my God, it was crazy,\u201d Vinny Nguyen, the owner of Da Vien, said. \u201cEven though it was raining, the community came out. Man, they came out way more than what I had expected.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n    <a href=\"#XHECJQES\">Link<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>One person <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DRGdJwekaDs\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==\">reportedly<\/a> got there as early as 3:45 a.m. to be the 10th person in line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Long Beach store is Da Vien\u2019s seventh location, and the fifth to open this year. It\u2019s made from Robusta beans, which Nguyen said are darker, earthier and much more caffeinated than the Arabica beans that have become so much more popular in the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt will keep you up all day long,\u201d Nguyen said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since opening that first shop in Westminster, Da Vien has grown immensely popular, gaining over 79,000 followers on Instagram and a mention in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/food\/list\/best-vietnamese-coffees-to-try-in-los-angeles-and-orange-county\">Los Angeles Times<\/a> as one of the best spots to get Vietnamese coffee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides their signature drink \u2013 which can be ordered with a variety of flavored creams, including ube and sesame \u2013 Da Vien also offers matcha lattes and fruit teas.
