Sail away for the 36th annual Buccaneer Days on Catalina Island (Thursday, Oct. 1)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Every year, the west part of Catalina Island is taken over by a group of swashbuckling visitors dressed as pirates who spend the weekend dancing and devouring some gruel and grog (food and drink for the non-pirate folks). This year participants can camp at Buffalo Park in Two Harbors<\/a>. Tickets run from $106.25 for general admission to $225.71 for general admission with three nights of camping at Buffalo Park. Downtown San Pedro\u2019s First Thursday Night Market will turn into Halloweentown this Thursday \u2014 complete with \u201cNightmare Before Christmas\u2019\u201dJack Skellington and Sally meet-and-greet. There will also be a costume contest, live music, and nearly 70 vendors who will participate in an early \u201cTrick or Treat,\u201d so get your pillowcases ready! Get crafty at the 2026 Long Beach Fall Arts, Crafts & Food Market Fest (Friday, Oct. 2)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Long Beach Fall Arts, Crafts & Food Market Fest kicks off on Friday at 10 a.m. at Shoreline Aquatic Park. If you are going to shop, might as well walk among a variety of artisans, food vendors and other small businesses and buy one-of-a-kind crafts, home decor, jewelry and baked goods. Grab a bite to eat from food trucks at the festival and enjoy live music. The festival is free to attend, but may tempt you to shop local. Long Beach\u2019s Open Studio Tour kicks off in Belmont (Saturday, Oct. 3)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

October is Arts Month in Long Beach, and it kicks off this weekend with Open Studio Tour. Every weekend in October, local artists in different parts of Long Beach will open their studios for visitors to explore and purchase their artwork. This weekend starts in Belmont with artists from all mediums, including ceramics by Maggie Kirkwood<\/a> and painter, sculptor and watercolorist Ramon Rodriguez<\/a>.
