Joe Truck recently opened Ace of Hearts, the first tattoo studio on Pine Avenue. It is a journey that’s taken nearly 20 years. In this interview with Culture Agent columnist Sander Roscoe Wolff, Truck talks about growing up in Greenwich Village, being part of the early punk scene, and working to make tattooing legal in New York City.
