From planting flowers to chopping potatoes, the nonprofit community garden Adventures to Dreams is trying to enrich the lives of kids ages 4 to 14.
Renamed the Crown Victory Garden, members of the Long Beach Organic nonprofit group and Councilwoman Susie Price hosted a small event Saturday declaring the garden complete.
The class takes place at the former Fire Station 12, which is also the office of Vice Mayor Rex Richardson, who represents District Nine. While the front is home to a great example of a sustainable front yard, the back is the District Nine community farm.
