Build a better democracy by supporting local news
The Long Beach Post is committed to providing essential news that allows voters to be more informed, neighbors to be more connected and leaders to be more accountable.
This kind of comprehensive journalism is expensive to produce, as evidenced by the fact that the country is on track to lose a third of its newspapers by 2025.
Without your buy-in, the kind of journalism that Long Beach deserves simply isn’t possible.
We know that you share our love for Long Beach, a city that is home to nearly half a million residents, a seaport, an airport, a university and many important businesses and industries. Almost all of our staff lives here and strives to make this city better, both in our professional and personal lives.
We hope that you will join us, and support our work by becoming a member today. For those with the means to do so, please consider joining our Champion Circle or giving a tax-deductible donation to our Investigative Journalism Fund.
CHAMPION CIRCLE
As a member of our Champion Circle, you will enjoy all of the same benefits of a Premium Access member, plus a personal thank-you from the publisher, inclusion in our annual community impact report, and an annual gift.
Of course, the biggest benefit is knowing that you’re supporting the largest newsroom in Long Beach, and helping us to sustain and expand our work into the future.
You can become a member of the Champion Circle by making an annual contribution of $1,200.
If you would like to give a gift in a different amount, please contact our membership team at [email protected].
INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM FUND
You can also give a tax deductible donation to our Investigative Journalism Fund, which is fiscally sponsored by the nonprofit Local Media Foundation.
This fund is dedicated solely to our journalism, specifically our current investigative project, Locked Out: Homelessness in Long Beach.
Producing this type of deep dive, multi-part journalism isn’t cheap; projects like this involve hours of research and other resources.
Thank you for supporting this crucial work!
