Taste of Downtown Part Two to Take Over Pine Avenue

If you just couldn’t get enough of the deliciousness that was the Downtown Long Beach Associates’ (DLBA) Taste of Downtown event in March, which featured the scrumptious fare of Thai District’s housemade calzones and wahoo poke from James Republic among other options, then fear not dear foodies. The second installment of Taste of Downtown will soon inhabit Pine Avenue.

Number two of a three-part series, the June 3 and 4 Taste of Downtown on Pine Avenue will celebrate downtown Long Beach’s growing dedication to the art form that is good eating. Attendees can look forward to sampling food and drinks from the following downtown eateries, with more to be announced by the DLBA in the coming weeks.

“Each year, the culinary footprint of DTLB grows and creates a more significant impact,” said James Stephenson, managing partner for BO-Beau Kitchen + Roof Tap and chair of the DLBA Marketing and Special Events Committee, in a statement. “Residents and visitors alike are beginning to recognize that our community offers unique dining options with phenomenal quality—and Taste of Downtown is their chance to sample all that we have in a fun and entertaining environment.”

In addition to the wide array of downtown delectable goodness being served, live entertainment courtesy of Paperplanes will make for a lively scene and a festive time.

Ticket package discounts are now available here and can be picked up at the Will Call/Ticket Booth at the event. Single tickets will be sold at the event for $1 each. Unused tasting tickets are valid at the DLBA’s upcoming Taste of Downtown: Waterfront event on August 26 and 27.
