State Assemblymember Bonnie Lowenthal is continuing her annual tradition of honoring 30 young women throughout the 70th District and is currently seeking nominations.
Any woman under the age of 30 who works, lives, volunteers, or goes to school within the her jurisdiction–which includes Long Beach, San Pedro, Signal Hill and Catalina Island–are qualified to be nominated for Lowenthal’s “30 Under 30” award. This will be the third year in a row that the Assemblymember has brought forth the celebration.
“This is a unique opportunity to honor an outstanding young woman who is working to improve our community,” said Lowenthal in a press release.
Those nominated will be categorized by their type of contribution, including: Arts, Business, Community Activism, Education, Government, Health Sciences, and Social Services.
Nominations are open, and can be submitted by visiting www.asmdc.org/members/a70/3rd-annual-30-under-30 or printing out and faxing the nomination form to (562) 495-2983. All nominations must be received by Friday, September 6.
