It has been a struggle for many Long Beach shoppers: relegated to the commerciality of Whole Foods or the costs of Lazy Acres—both on the eastern edges of the city—better grocery options offering more local or organic options has long been needed.
Now, Signal Hill will be home to the area’a first Mother’s Market & Kitchen, Orange County’s popular grocer and vitamin supplier.
Taking over the former Fresh & Easy they closed several years back at Cherry and Willow, Mother’s boats of one of the Southland’s largest selection of organic and non-GMO foods.
The timeline for when it will open remains unclear.
