Hot damn, Long Beach: DTLB is blowin’ up when it comes to food. There’s a slider joint coming. Pho. Crepes and chocolate and a vegan joint.

And now, India’s famed Thick Shake Factory is opting to break into the US market—in DTLB’s former City Place space.

Opened by two brothers in the Hyderabad Manjeera Mall in Mumbai, Thick Shake takes the classic shake and infuses it with Indian flavors and charm and decadence. Take their Superman’s Secret shake, a blend of vanilla ice cream, honey and mussel extract. Lychee shakes. Apple shakes. They even have a slushy menu that includes green apple and blue curacao “mocktails.”

This isn’t to say that they don’t have golden standards: from Oreo shakes to strawberry to caramel, Thick Shake’s take on the shake runs the full spectrum.

Time to get your shake on, Long Beach.
