Street Plant and Revolution Mother present Switchblades & Urethane, a day of skate rock-themed music with live performances by Duane Peters Gunfight featuring Duane Peters, McRad featuring Chuck Treece, Revolution Mother featuring Mike Vallely, The Pushers featuring Riky Barnes, Powerflex 5 featuring Salba and Corey Miller and Skatanic Rednecks featuring Dave Reul.
The single-day festival will take place at Alex’s Bar on Sunday, July 19 from 1:00PM to 8:00PM, with live music starting at 2:00PM.
"Switchblades and Urethane is a one day music fest celebrating the natural crossover between skateboarding and music. For me that crossover has always existed and it always will," Vallely, event promoter and Revolution Mother singer, said. "I discovered skateboarding through punk rock music and I discovered my own path in life by pursuing both mediums. Having skate legends like Duane Peters, Salba and Chuck Treece and their bands on this bill really means a lot to me. Switchblades and Urethane represents everything I love and value about being a skateboarder and a musician.”
Parking lot vendors will include Confusion Magazine, Dogtown Suicidal Skates, Pizzanista, Pure Fun! Magazine, Street Plant and The Hub. Plus, there will be delicious traditional and vegan eats to munch on by one of LBC’s own finest local taco trucks.
Show is for those 21 and older (ID required). Tickets are $10 both in advance and at the door.
