The Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach has named Long Beach business owner Trent Bryson as president of the club’s Board of Directors, it was announced Monday.
Bryson—who is CEO of the Long Beach-based Bryson Financial, which provides employee benefits, retirement plans and business insurance for clients nationwide—will serve a two-year term beginning Wednesday, July 1, where he will lead a group of more than 40 volunteers. The club serves more than 4,000 children annually, according to a press release.
"We are very excited to welcome Trent as board president,” said Don Rodriquez, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach in a statement. "With his financial acumen and his passion for our mission, we look forward to his leadership that will help us get stronger and stronger in our commitment to serving children in the community.”
Bryson is a father of two and grew up in Long Beach. He has served on the Long Beach Boys & Girls Clubs executive committee since 2010 and as a volunteer for more than 10 years, according to the release.
Today, the organization has three traditional club sites, eight school sites, and three park sites that serve about 4,300 Long Beach children each year.
