DLBA Announces Six Vacant Board of Directors Positions Waiting to be Filled

The Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) announced today that downtown residents, commercial property owners and businesses interested in applying for one of six vacancies on the Board of Directors have until Friday, June 17 to submit an application.

Story continued below.

More than 70 downtown stakeholders volunteer their time and efforts to improve the area’s community, between the DLBA Board of Directors and its varying committees, according to the release. Board members directly pulled from the area enable the DLBA to better serve interests, focus on current issues and invoke future solutions.

“When it comes to the DLBA Board, the best and most challenging aspect of it is the blunt fact that you can’t be idle,” stated Toliver Morris, DLBA Chair-Elect and Chair of the Board Development Committee (BDC). “This Board is active, it’s always thinking and looking ahead, it is always planning for action—and in that sense, that’s precisely why DTLB has been growing so vibrantly over the past few years.”

The DLBA is seeking representatives for the following areas:

  • Business Owner, West Gateway Area
  • Business Owner, North Pine Area
  • Business Owner, Waterfront Area
  • Commercial Property Owner, Standard Property District
  • Commercial Property Owner, Premium Property District
  • Resident, Council District 1
