A two-alarm fire on Friday damaged a Bixby Knolls diner but left no one injured, according to officials.

The fire was reported at 10:22PM Friday at George’s 50s Diner in Bixby Knolls, on the 4300 block of Atlantic Avenue, according to the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) watch commander. The first firefighters reportedly arrived within five minutes, and the fire was knocked down in 20 minutes.

LBFD officials said investigators were requested at the scene to determine the origin of the fire. Environmental health officials were also requested, because the fire was at a restaurant.
